Q: How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on what you want to get from your therapy:

As a general rule of thumb:

  • Stop smoking: This is a one-off session between 60 and 120 minutes in length.
  • Phobia: This is completed over 3 sessions.
  • Other issues such as Anxiety/Depression/Weight Loss will generally be in excess of 6 sessions but will depend on your progress and personal goals.

Q: What happens if I can’t be hypnotised?

Trance is very ordinary and something that we do many times during the day already without realising it – sometimes we ‘zone’ out whilst watching T.V, reading a book or sometimes we can go off into a daydream. This type of light trance is similar to what happens during hypnosis and is sufficient for hypnosis to be effective. During your session, I will use guided visualisation techniques to help you relax and drift into a trance comfortably.

Q: Where will sessions take place?

I have a very welcoming and comfortable therapy room close to Middleton Centre and motorway/public transport routes for face to face sessions.

Q: Are sessions available online?

Yes. Online sessions are available and are just as effective as face to face sessions without the need for you to worry about getting stuck in traffic or parking!  I will send you all the necessary information in an email so you can access a face to face session via video link. Please ensure you have a reliable internet connection and a private space where you will not be interrupted.
