Hi, I’m Angela. I am a BACP-accredited Person-centered therapist and Solution-focused Hypnotherapist with over 14 years experience of working with clients in a range of organisations in the voluntary sector, the NHS and privately working for Bupa.
I initially began my journey as a therapist volunteering as a bereavement counsellor at a local hospital working with clients in a holistic way to support them to process their loss. I stayed in this role for 6 years and would consider it my specialist area as I find it a very rewarding and enriching process.
To build upon my counselling skills and experience I moved on to work in the NHS for over 10 years as a Solution Focused Brief Therapist. I have gained experience of working with a broad range of clients presenting with issues such as anxiety, depression, low mood, work related stress, anger management and many others not listed here. In 2021 I expanded my professional development further by training as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist – this has allowed me to add a broader range of skills to my therapeutic toolbox.
In 2025 I began my current role working as a remote Counsellor/Psychotherapist for Bupa. I can now offer clients more flexibility in what approach they want to take toward their therapeutic journey – they can have talking therapy/hypnotherapy or a fusion of the two. I adopt an integrated approach and will tailor sessions depending on the client’s goals and preferred outcomes using a range of therapeutic modalities and techniques.
If you want to explore how you are feeling in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space contact me for a free 30-minute consultation either by telephone or Zoom. We can discuss your needs and how we are going to work together to build your resilience and help you move forward towards a better future.
